For Returning Officers & the Election Clerks
- The VOTEX™ Electronic Voting System allows the Returning Officer to reduce the amount of personnel required to conduct an election. The Returning Officer benefits from a reduction in the number of personnel that needs to be recruited, trained, sworn-in and remunerated.
- The Returning Officer is freed from all of these tasks associated to a paper ballot election.
- Locate a printer that will be reliable and ensure that the model of the ballots are not supplied to anyone else;
- Verify the number of ballots produced;
- Ensure that each and every ballot contains no printing flaws. (absence of candidate names, stained ballots, fading problems, etc);
- If a candidate withdraws from the election and there is not enough time to reprint the ballots, the Returning Officer must ensure that each ballot reflects that the candidate is no longer in the election;
- Divide the appropriate number of ballots into each ballot box for each particular polling station;
- Witness the ballot count thus waiting for several hours before declaring who has won at the location;
- Verify the Deputy Returning Officers results;
- Receive all of the ballot boxes and ballots: the used and unused, as well as the voided ballots;
- Disassemble the boxes and prepare the items to be shipped or transported.
